Light coloured limestone sedimentary rock, used since Roman times, travertine is present in many areas of Italy and is characterized by delicate nuances that give an elegant and distinctive look. Depending on the oxides and minerals incorporated during the process of sedimentation, in nature there are rocks in shades that range milky white to light brown, with yellow or reddish veins.
