The BODUM® story begins in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1944 the day Peter BODUM founded his company. After having imported glassware for a time, he discovered the flavor of coffee from Italian coffee makers. He decides to improve the design and invents the MOCCA.

Faithful to the Danish tradition, he combines aesthetics and practicality with the concern to make his product accessible to all.
Will follow the SANTOS, in 1958, sublime vacuum machine which will be for several decades one of the most famous coffee makers in the world.
For 75 years, BODUM® innovations and successes have followed one another.

BODUM continues to innovate by creating functional objects that respect nature and perform in many sectors such as catering, hotels, coffee roasting…

Jorgen, Peter’s son, took over the management of the company in 1974 and the adventure continues with as much dynamism and commitment, respecting the motto of the company: “Make taste, not waste”.
