As a luminaire manufacturer, knowledge and mastery of light sources is not only an obvious prerequisite but also a source of inspiration for our work.

The technological improvements of the last decades have changed our perception of lighting and visual comfort. New light sources such as LEDs open up the field of possibilities as radically as the switch from gas to electric lighting.

We did not want to remain passive witnesses of this upheaval, but to be its actors. As soon as the technology is mastered, it seemed essential to us to bring this supplement of soul which makes the signature of a contemporary editor. Through the daily exercise of our profession as interior architect and designer on the one hand and manufacturer on the other, we claim to meet a legitimate demand for honest, benevolent, friendly products, which would not have forgotten humor or even irreverence.

GAU LIGHTING PARIS is the formalization of this will. Thanks to a team of talented designers we have designed a catalogue that embodies the dream we wish to share with you.

Bronze, aluminium, brass, wood, porcelain, alabaster, glass, paper, cotton… GAU LIGHTING PARIS only works with high quality natural and composite materials to give the luminaires their uniqueness, nobility and quality.

Our credo: to put our know-how at the service of creation and emotion.

Own creations, designers’ creations, collaborations with renowned artists and craftsmen, all GAU LIGHTING PARIS models are developed in our factory located in the south of Ile-de-France and distributed throughout the world.

Our history is based on values that are essential to our eyes and that give our luminaires a perfect balance between design and craftsmanship.

Savoir-faire

Over the years and meetings, GAU LIGHTING PARIS  has focused on two main activities, namely :

• the edition and manufacture of contemporary lighting by renowned designers (Bruno Borrione, Eric Jourdan, Didier Benderli, Eric Schmitt, Astrid Dieterlen…) including a fairly wide range of battery-powered mobile lamps,
• the manufacture of custom-made luminaires at the request of specifiers for unique projects in France and abroad.

Bespoke

With its unique know-how, GAU LIGHTING PARIS has presented, for 40 years, a unique range of finishes.

In order to remain in adequacy with modern aspirations, the palette of finishes has been updated: nickel, gold, silver, varnished brass, polished brass, raw brass, antique dealer, antique dealer, forge black, matt pewter, gun barrel, matt nickel, copper… are available.

In order to meet the demands of luminaires with finishes adapted to aggressive climates (seaside, tropics, desert…), GAU LIGHTING PARIS supplies with different kind of varnishes.
