Responsible to preserve the balance between mankind and natural resources of our planet, Honeymoon undertakes to use teak and Bangkirai exclusively from managed forest periodically monitored and whose operation is regulated to allow the natural renewal resources.

To avoid wastage harmful to the balance of our ecological system, Honeymoon strives to design creations of very high quality that last through time. « The spirit of our creations is, in our view, favorable to a rapprochement between humans and the natural environment, quick to promote respect for human, face on what nature gives more beautiful, helping to respect it more.»
Our commitment is also based on the choice of producing small quantities and almost on demand (more than 50% of our production), and always respects the process of drying wood… Thus, we are using only what is necessary and our products have a longer life expectancy…

Traditional and demanding constructions

True to founders will, Honeymoon products use traditional construction techniques. The self-assemblies permit to minimize the use of screws and sticking. Other materials necessary for the assembly are made of brass and stainless steel.
The structures and all their components were designed and widely tested for use outdoors. They meet the highest standards of quality.

Our manufacturing process requires a minimum time of steaming and drying, this process guarantee the stability of structures and frames in time. In addition to aesthetics requirements, it is a guarantee for security regardless of all climates the structures can be exposed.

Through the choice of the materials, the request for strength and durability, Honeymoon creations can claim for excellence in the range of outdoor furniture. A guarantee of quality signed Honeymoon !

Wood

With a dense fiber, a fine grain and vanilla color, Teak is a wood greatly appreciated by lovers of lumber. In addition, Teck is the most stable and more sustainable wood, in any kind of temperature and humidity.

Honeymoon creations are made of teak and Bangkirai, another tropical wood with complementary properties.

These two species do not require specific maintenance, so Honeymoon products can be installed in the tropics as in the mountains. In wintering period, the structure may be left naked and only a spring cleaning will be necessary.

Accessories

Furniture and furnishing have been designed specifically for our structures, however the daybeds and gazebos can be delivered without this equipment in order to be able to arrange in your own way.
mattresses and cushions come with removable outdoor covers. For more than 20 years we are using Sunbrella® fabrics.

These materials are perfectly adapted for our use and they will resist to moisture and sun light. Curtains are suitable for an outdoor use, however, we recommend removing them during the winter period.

The interior protective cover will protect mattresses and cushions during short absences.

Coverage

Mediterranean roofing’s and Traditional roofings

Our “Mediterranean” roof covers have a very large overhanging that allows them to offer an exceptional comfort: the place is protected from the sun during for a large part of the day and from humidity in the evening … the space is as comfortable as the house.

Our roof frames facilitate air circulation, provide a great comfort, and have a strong resistance to winds.

For several years now, we are using PVC covers which have the technical qualities that reach our criteria of resistance and quality. Thanks to their conception, they are perfectly resistant to winds above 100 km/h (about 65 mph). The maintenance is also much easier, so they have a life expectancy of about 10 years.

In case of exceptional storms, they have to be dismantled: dismantling will be done easily in less than 30 minutes.

Traditional roofings

Our traditional roof covers require a specific slope to be perfectly durable. All frames are specific and adapted to the installation on the final site.

For a tropical style, you can have:

• Natural thatch in traditional installation,
• Natural thatch in decorative installation (rolls),
• Natural alang-alang (panels),
• Synthetic palm (Palmex®).

For a classic style, a specific frame with a teak underneath will be produced for a wood shingle finish (larch, red cedar, spruce).

All these kinds of roofs are waterproof and have good thermal and sound insulation qualities. Their lifetime can be up to 30 years for the reeds of Camargue.
