The story of Comptoir du Bambou is the story of the meeting between Maud and Nicolas and the respective know-how of their families: stationery of excellence for her and the hotel business for him.

Nicolas had always heard his parents talk about the problem of professional linen, mainly made of cotton, a material that uses a lot of energy, becomes rough and wears out at an incredible rate. Maud, on the other hand, was familiar with wood because the cellulose fibre from it was used to make the family business’ beautiful stationery.

Bamboo quickly became popular because of its outstanding properties. The combination of one of the 1500 species of bamboo and Egyptian cotton made it possible to design a high quality linen that does not exist on the market.
