For more than 40 years, PLASTOREX has specialized in the manufacture of melamine tableware. We are the only manufacturer of melamine tableware in France.

Since melamine has been at the heart of our business for more than 40 years, we have the know-how required to produce quality, sustainable and renewable articles.

Do you really know melamine?

Melamine is a material unknown to the general public and yet it is perhaps, for dishes in particular, the material most in tune with its time.
It is made with cellulose (vegetable fiber, wood, paper), formaldehyde (natural gas) and urea (natural organic compound). It is therefore a bio-based material, composed of renewable raw materials and whose manufacture (with a low carbon footprint) does not require the use of petrochemicals.
It is part of the thermoset family. During its ultimate transformation, carried out at high temperatures and under high pressure, melamine will undergo irreversible hardening. This gives Melamine items exceptional characteristics. It obtains the advantages of plastic (light and unbreakable material) and the advantages of porcelain (rigid material, resistant and of high quality).

If this makes it a material that is not recyclable within traditional circuits, its lifespan is such that we designate it as THE reusable material par excellence.
This tableware is therefore perfectly suited to use daily and intensive, especially in the collective catering. It is also very safe, our Melamine is tested and approved by laboratories as a material that can come into contact with food and does not contain bisphenol A.

We also manufacture Polypropylene and Copolyester tableware, unbreakable, microwaveable, BPA free and washable in industrial autoclaves. This tableware is also suitable for food contact. To meet the needs of our customers following the AGEC law, we offer many reusable products in these materials, as well as stainless steel, porcelain or glass.
