The moulds are made in steel and the items die-casted
It was the early ’60 s when Mr Santo Gobbi opened his own handicraft business. He built the first candelabras with French soil, the work was made with bare hands and the fusions were taken off breaking the sand mould with fingers. The family tradition has been continued with the work of Mr Santo’s son, Mr Angelo Gobbi.
With his depth ofmechanical knowledge together with considerable practice, he perfected his own technique in using a pantograph. During the year of 1972, he purchased the first machinery and introduced a new Company name of Stilars snc. The name Stilars is a fusion of the Latin words for style and art
Starting from this year, the moulds are made in steel and the items die-casted. Today’s collection comprises of more than 2,000 different items. In conjunction with the brass we also use other materials such as glass, wood and ceramic, and different finishes are created with bronzing, chrome plating silvering and paintin.
