Hotel industry has slowed down, but that ha not stopped hotels from moving forward on construction or renovation projects. Business travelers are starting to mix business with pleasure, and are embracing a new trend called “Bleisure”. No more going back and forth between two meetings, welcome videoconferences at the beach and long stays.

Hospitality professionals are beginning to adapt to this new trend and provide all the conditions to create more comfort and pleasant memories.

Today, some trends are already topical, but five of them stand out the most among specialists

1-    When hotels goes green: Rooms equipped with motion sensors and automatic water shut-off, air purification systems, water filters etc.

• Use of certified products meeting ecological standards. Natural wood and large-format porcelain stoneware are very popular.
• Ecological decoration, green plants, hall walls with greenery and moss.

2-    Hotel like home – Hotel Lifestyle: Make yourself at home: creating a family atmosphere, decorating like home.

3.     When hotels go contactless: Lessening of contact points for guests, in order to offer them a more hygienic and safer stay . Connected lock, contactless payment, online check-in and check-out.

4-    When  hotel becomes agile and adapts to new uses – Click and collect: The new distribution method that grew with the health crisis, has also spread in the hotel industry.

5- When  hotel diversifies their communication channels: During the crisis, the hotel industry also resorted to various digital means of  communication to improve customer relations by sending reassuring messages.
