TRIO. AIRFLOW

Easy ignition, Better combustion, Heat distribution, Simplified cleaning.

The performance of a plancha brazier depends on the air supply it receives!

Why is the updraft (airflow) crucial?

The air supply it receives plays a crucial role in the combustion of the fuel and therefore in the capacity of the brazier.

  • Easy ignition : A well-ventilated fire pit makes it easier to start the fire, as the air-fuel mixture is optimal from the start. If there is a lack of air, it can be more difficult to achieve a stable flame. With its rising air draw, the TRIO promotes easy fire ignition, as the air is drawn directly into the flames. This results in a stable and long-lasting fire quickly.
  • Optimal combustion : Updraft allows air to circulate efficiently from the bottom of the brazier to the top, continuously supplying the fire with oxygen. This allows for a more complete combustion, generating more heat with less fuel.
  • Heat Management : A good updraft helps distribute heat evenly throughout the brazier, ensuring a quick rise in temperature and consistent heat. This is especially important for the right plancha temperature, where a well-heated cooking surface is needed to cook efficiently.
  • Smoke reduction : when the draft is well upward, the combustion is cleaner and produces less smoke. A bad draft can lead to a build-up of stagnant smoke, interfering with cooking and the atmosphere around the brazier.
  • Fire maintenance : With updraft, the fire is easier to maintain, as the continuous airflow allows the wood or charcoal to burn on a regular basis. You don’t have to constantly intervene to fan the flames.

In summary, a fire pit should be well ventilated, with an upward draft of air so that the air can circulate upwards. This ensures optimal combustion, less residue and better heat distribution for cooking or heating.

What diameter brazier to choose?
The TRIO is available in several models to allow you to choose the height, diameter and finish that suits you best. In particular, you can create your outdoor kitchen with modular furniture

The TRIO82 is compact and requires slightly less space than the TRIO98. It is extremely popular for small outdoors.

The choice between a brazier with a diameter of 82 cm or 98 cm depends on what you will be using it for and the space available. Here are a few things to consider:

  • Space size : If you have a large outdoor space, a 98 cm brazier may be more suitable. It will be larger and may offer better heat distribution. For a smaller space, an 82 cm model might be more appropriate to avoid clutter.
  • Number of people : in terms of cooking capacity, it all depends on what you are cooking and your skills in the matter. If you want to sit around the brazier with several people, the 82cm allows you to have a maximum of 6 – 8 people around the plancha, while the 98cm allows 10-12 people.
  • Heat released : A larger brazier, such as the 98 cm model, will usually give off more heat, which can be useful if you want to heat a larger area.
  • Wood or charcoal consumption : A larger brazier will require more fuel to function optimally. If you prefer a more moderate consumption, a smaller brazier might be better.
  • Log size : the diameters 82 and 98 allow them to use standard size logs of 30cm or 50cm.

If you have a large space and want to receive groups of several people, a 98 cm model would probably be more suitable. If you’re looking for something more compact or fuel-efficient, go for an 82cm model.
