PEFC Wood from the Region
To ensure sustainable exploitation, we select PEFC certified wood throughout the supply chain from the original forest. This guarantees that the processed wood comes from sustainably managed forests. Our supplies undergo regular checks by an independent organization. Additionally, the wood we use comes from the forests of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. It serves as a true inspiration in circular economy: no input is provided by humans; naturally, trees reseed themselves, and leaf fall and branches contribute to soil amendment. Our cabinetmaking and supplies are audited every year by an independent organization to verify compliance with the certification framework:
- License number: PEFC/10-32-2633.
- Control chain number: QUAL/12-716.
Preserved Environment
Our cabinetmaking company designs and manufactures all furniture in Franche-Comté. It’s a preventive approach to minimizing the product’s impact on the environment. Environment preservation is done in six steps:
- Raw materials: Our artisans work with locally certified PEFC wood.
- Manufacturing: Our artisans avoid creating wood waste, and if it occurs, we try to reuse it to make other items, such as salad servers available in « Accessories. »
- Transportation: The team consolidates orders to make only one delivery. Our stackable furniture minimizes the number of truck trips.
- Use: 100% Made in France and eco-designed with solid wood from Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, ensuring furniture with unparalleled longevity and quality of manufacture.
- Finish: Our Made in France furniture is refined with Rubio® natural vegetable oils (complies with the toy standard EN 71-3 for child safety).
- Furniture end/recycling: The advantage of solid wood is that once worn, you can sand the damaged part. If the damage is more severe, feel free to contact us for more information.
Indoor Air Quality
The MéliMélo oak and resin table is made from natural materials:
- Solid wood sourced from our Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, and a resin tabletop worked with acrylic, minerals, and natural pigments. This ensures good indoor air quality. Additionally, for finishing our furniture, our artisans only work with Rubio® natural vegetable oils. This ecological oil complies with the toy standard EN 71-3 for child safety. There is a reduction in VOC emissions (Volatile Organic Compounds). The traditional assembly (dowel and tenon-mortise) is done with formaldehyde-free wood glue.
Maintenance
Maintaining the table is easy to carry out :
For daily cleaning :
- Simply clean with a sponge or damp cloth. You can also use Rubio® interior soap. Also, use an abrasive cleaner for the resin tabletop. For occasional maintenance:
- Over time, highly solicited surfaces may lose their luster. Use Refresh Eco Rubio® care oil to restore the surface’s smoothness and revive the oil protection.
- If a greasy substance has remained in contact with your furniture, a stain has probably appeared. Use Rubio® Degreasing Spray Cleaner. For resin tabletop repair, don’t hesitate to contact us. The HI-MACS® resin tabletop is homogeneous throughout its thickness and can be repaired, glued, sanded, or polished by a professional.
