Like all our furniture, this table and these benches are eco-designed and manufactured in France in our workshop with locally sourced solid wood eco-certified PEFC. This set can also be custom-made and in different types of local wood such as walnut, ash, maple, hornbeam, beech, or chestnut.

Designer solid wood bench:

From the top view, the seat of the PAP bench has a shape reminiscent of a bow tie, and it is this unique design that gives it its name. The seat consists of two inclined wooden planks forming a « hollow » surface that offers appreciable ergonomics and comfort.

Solid wood design table: The design of the legs gives this MéliMélo table an unparalleled lightness, uniqueness, and elegance. Its name comes from the shape of the legs, consisting of two pieces of solid wood assembled at the bottom but perforated at the top, creating an illusion of the interweaving of two legs.

Exceptional natural finish: The finish of this oak set, consisting of a MéliMélo table and two PAP benches, has been carefully handcrafted by our craftsmen. The wood has been finely sanded before being oiled with a Rubio® natural oil that contains no VOCs (volatile organic compounds). This natural and ecological finish protects and enhances the wood while providing a silky and ultra-soft touch.

PEFC certified wood:

The wood we use for the production of the MéliMélo table and PAP benches, like all our furniture, is exclusively French. In the vast majority of cases, the wood comes from forests near our workshop located in Burgundy Franche-Comté. It comes from naturally managed sustainable forests. Our furniture manufacturing workshop has been PEFC certified since 2012, this certification guarantees that the wood used comes from sustainably managed forests, respecting forest balance while considering environmental and social aspects. Our company and our supplies are audited every year by an independent organization to verify compliance with the certification reference:

To preserve the environment, our craftsmen use an eco-design approach that consists of six steps:

Raw materials: our craftsmen work with locally certified PEFC wood. Manufacturing: our craftsmen avoid creating wood waste, and if that happens, we try to reuse them to make other objects. Transport: The team ensures to group orders to make only one delivery. Our furniture can also be picked up in our workshop. We select natural materials to be non-polluting for indoor air:

By working only with natural vegetable oils (Complies with toy standard EN 71-3 for child safety). This reduces the emission of VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Moreover, during some assemblies (dowels), the application of wood glue is without formaldehyde. These ensure you impeccable air quality and are good for the environment. Maintenance:

Routine maintenance:

Simply clean with a sponge or a damp cloth, you can also use Rubio® interior soap.

Occasional maintenance:

Highly used surfaces may tarnish over time, use Rubio® Eco Refresh oil to give a silky feel to the surface and revive the oil protection. If a greasy substance has come into contact with your furniture, a stain has probably appeared, use Rubio® Degreasing Spray cleaner.
