The hotel mode present on some TVs allows you to block certain functions, restrict certain uses and access additional settings.
Initially, hotel mode was only present on products intended for professional use, to prevent the settings from being inadvertently changed by certain users (hotel guests or hospital patients for example). Depending on the model, it notably makes it possible to block the use of the remote control, to lock the volume setting at a certain level, to choose which source the TV is positioned on when switched on, to clone settings on a USB key in order to to reproduce them easily on another model, to block access to the menus for searching for channels, settings, changing the picture mode or sources, etc.
