Bar stool : customizable seat height

The Wak bar stool in solid walnut is customizable with various seat heights (from 58 to 75 cm). You also have the option to choose from different local wood types: ash, maple, oak, beech… pick the one that suits you! The wood used comes from locally managed, sustainable forests and is PEFC eco-certified. This stool is part of a strong eco-design approach: ecological manufacturing, the use of renewable and natural materials, eco-certified wood and oil, formaldehyde-free glue, long lifespan, easy repairability, availability of spare parts, and recyclable materials; everything is done to minimize the environmental impact. Like all our furniture, the stool is designed and handcrafted in our own workshop in eastern France, in Franche-Comté. The finish of the solid walnut design stool has been carefully done by hand by our craftsmen. The wood has been finely sanded before being oiled with a Rubio® natural oil that contains no VOCs (volatile organic compounds). This natural and ecological finish protects and enhances the wood while offering a silky and ultra-soft touch.

Characteristics

Custom height from 58 to 75 cm in the above list of choices. Seat height = table height – 30 cm. Seat height 60 cm for a worktop height of 90 cm. Seat height 75 cm for a worktop height of 105 cm. Natural and ecological finish. Solid walnut structure section 80 and 50 x 15 mm. Assembly by mortise and tenon joints and glued dowels. Seat in 100% walnut plywood. Formaldehyde-free glue (harmful VOCs). Choice of PEFC certified local wood. Rubio Oil Plus 2C oil without VOCs (varnish on request). Delivered assembled, packaged, and protected in cardboard. Exceptional natural finish

This walnut stool is treated only with natural oil, displaying the full beauty of natural wood. The wood remains free of harmful substances and retains all its excellent properties. It breathes, absorbs moisture, and gradually releases it into the ambient air, ensuring a healthy and pleasant indoor climate. The final sanding and oil application are done entirely by hand, ensuring impeccable finishing quality and touch. The oil used complies with the EN 71-3 toy safety standard for children.

PEFC Certified Wood

The walnut used comes from France, and as much as possible, from our region. In 2012, we obtained the PEFC label (Pan European Forest Certification). This guarantees that the wood used comes from sustainably managed forests. Our wood supplies are regularly checked by an independent organization.

Eco-design is a preventive approach that minimizes the product’s impact on the environment:

Maintenance

The oiled wood surfaces of walnut furniture are very easy to maintain:

• Clean daily with a damp sponge or cloth.
• For optimal maintenance, you can clean them with nourishing oil.
• Unlike a varnished surface, you can easily repair scratches on the wood surface.
