Exceptional natural finish
We apply only natural oil to Delavelle chairs to showcase the beauty of natural wood. The wood remains free of harmful substances and retains all its excellent properties. It breathes, absorbs moisture, and gradually releases it into the ambient air, ensuring a healthy and pleasant indoor climate. The final sanding and oil application are done by hand to ensure a flawless finish and touch. The oil used complies with the toy standard EN 71-3 for child safety.
PEFC Wood from the Country
The wood used comes from forests near our workshop, less than 2 km for some. Since 2012, we have had the PEFC label (Pan European Forest Certification), a guarantee that the worked wood comes from sustainably managed forests. Our wood supplies are regularly checked by an independent organization.
- License number: PEFC/10-32-2633.
- Control chain number: QUAL/12-716.
Preserved Environment
We practice eco-design to minimize the product’s impact on the environment:
Our products are stackable to optimize transport and reduce carbon footprint. Our products are made from local wood, a renewable and recyclable resource. Our products are repairable; natural wood can be sanded and restored. Single-material: facilitates recyclability at the end of life.
Indoor Air Quality
We select natural materials for the production of our furniture:
- Reduced indoor air pollution.
- Absence of hazardous substances.
- Reduced emissions of VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
- Glue without formaldehyde.
- Finish with natural vegetable oils (EN 71-3 toy standard for child safety).
