Tochigi prefecture, where E-STONETECH is based, has always had a reputation for producing high quality stones and stone crafts have strongly developed in the region.

The company was originally a manufactured stones supplier established in 1969, but renewed its activities in 2012 as a glass processing company utilizing the cutting and polishing techniques developed during its history of working with stone for nearly 50 years.

We can transform 10-ton blocks of stone into any form and create any surface finish at the clients’ request, and the application of this advanced technique to glass treatment is our specialty.

For example we can manufacture huge glass benches 70cm wide, 15cm thick and 6m long.

These unique skills are highly recognized and are also applied to semiconductor manufacturing, a field that supports cutting edge Japanese technologies. Every year dozens of huge silica glass blocks 1.8m in diameter, 0.7m thick and weighing 4.2 tons are carried into our factory from a major supplier, for the initial processing of the quartz glass sheets to be used for semiconductor manufacturing.

In addition to the cutting and polishing, the company has processing techniques to heat and bend or twist glass. These techniques enable the creation of huge glass products without imposing any limit to the designers’ imagination.
