What is an Energy Management System ?

An Energy Management System (or EMS) is a technological solution allowing to adjust the energy consumption of a building based on a variety of factors, measured in real time – either through sensors, or via a connection to existing IT systems.

For instance, in the case of a hotel : Rented/unrented room status, in-room guest presence, door opening sequence, window sensor, etc.
