Plastica Alto Sele SpA has reached the important milestone of Quality Management System certification, certified according to ISO 9001:2015, which has allowed it to achieve increasingly higher quality levels.

ISO 9001 defines the requirements for a quality management system for an organisation. The requirements expressed are of a general nature and can be implemented by any type of organization; last revised in September 2015 (ISO 9001:2015).

ISO 9001 is the reference standard for those who want to subject their production process to quality control in a cyclical way, starting from the definition of the customers’ express and otherwise requirements and arriving at the monitoring of the entire production path/process.

The customer and his satisfaction are at the center of ISO 9001; every activity, application and monitoring of activities/processes is in fact aimed at determining the maximum satisfaction of the end user. The application phases of the standard start from the definition of the procedures and records for each single process or macro process identified within the company organisation.

It goes through all areas of the organization which include:

All with a careful analysis of corporate opportunities, the definition of the mission and the corporate vision expressed through the quality policy. A careful control commensurate with the company reality is carried out on the management of human and instrumental resources.

In particular, in the case of suppliers, it is very useful to refer to ISO 10005 which identifies the guidelines for defining the quality plan, a useful tool that every supplier should adopt to demonstrate how it intends to guarantee the contractual clauses towards the customer. In fact, the quality plan can be considered a subset of the quality system of a company which, despite not having ISO 9001 certification, intends to explain the rules of conduct of its system to the customer.

From the client company’s point of view, demanding the quality plan in reference to the contract is the first logical step necessary to understand how the supplier manages the contract.

The Plastica Alto Sele project intends to develop a commercial expansion project in West Africa, in the plastic resin furniture and accessories sector. The need arises from already existing commercial relationships which in perspective can give a significant increase in commercial results in that market. Specifically, the company will deepen commercial relations with local operators which, if implemented and supported, will be able to contribute to increasing the volume of business with foreign countries.
