Our story began more than 60 years ago as a traditional wholesaler called Aerts NV.
In 1994 Aerts NV started a joint venture “Guang Yong Trading’, based in China. The focus of this company was on trading activities and product development to, mainly, the retail industry. As a result of this partnership, the brand “Yong” was created.
A partnership between the Australian company Bambis and the Greek company EVE led to the creation of . At that very exact moment, Aerts NV became its brand owner for Central Europe.
In 2011, Paul Aerts and Vic Keersmaekers became the new owners of Aerts NV.
Table top diffusion, a French trading company in tableware, became part of Aerts NV.
CHIC was launched, a brand entirely owned by Aerts NV. First, CHIC was launched for retail purposes, later on it became clear that this brand offered the perfect tableware for hospitality purposes.
Paul Aerts retired as CEO and was succeeded by Vic’s son, Timo Keersmaekers.
Aerts no longer focused only on the retail market, but decided to also get into the hospitality market. From then on, Aerts also offered a range of products created for restaurants, hotels and other hospitality companies.
As a result of that, a hospitality brand was created, namely Fine2Dine(F2D).
Aside from that, Aerts started its own product development for the brand Salt&Pepper in the Central European market.
In 2018, another hospitality brand was created, namely BonBistro.
The retail brand ONA was created.
The participation in “Guang Yong Trading” was discontinued, and afterwards a new company “Concept Lab” was founded in China. This company focuses on sourcing and quality control in China
In 2020, SP collection entered the retail market. A brand that offers the possibility to create a boutique hotel experience.
To focus even more on our own brands, the French trading company Table Top Diffusion was sold.
The office buildings and warehouses in Geel, which had previously been leased, were taken over. Immediate use was made of the situation to modernize the warehouses.
The company name changed from Aerts NV to Fine Dining & Living NV. A name that describes exactly what we want to offer: multiple brands focusing on the dining and living experience, making it as “fine” as possible.
Currently we are selling our products in around 50 different countries, and we want to continue to expand further internationally in the future. Accordingly, we sign up for industry-leading trade shows and events that take place at multiple locations around the world.
