Lava finish

The evolution in the use of ‘Lava finish’ was what led us to attempt to produce the modern waterproof ‘Lava finish’, having always in mind the recipes of the past. The Evomat specialized in the production of special mortars, after collaboration with scientific partners of the ‘Department of Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art’, created the leading Greek waterproof ‘Lava finish’.

The Greek ‘Lava finish’of Evomat is an ecological material with Greek natural raw materials such as: the natural pozzolan (lava), the quartz, the limewater and the bentonite. Materials which are proposed by supporters of bioclimatic architecture on surfaces such as floors and walls. The ‘Lava finish’ is characterized for its high strength and is 100 % waterproof with the coating of special varnishes which protect it for many years.

The aesthetic of the Greek ‘Lava finish’ by Evomat is unique in texture, shades and ‘natural water texture’ that are created after the technique of ‘pressing’. It can be applied indoors and outdoors , on walls , floors , countertops , stairs , bathtubs , swimming pools , plasterboards , cementboards , plywood , tiles , mosaics etc. The Greek ‘Lava finish’ is produced by Evomat, which is based in the old quarry area of Eleusis since 1948, and produces traditional and contemporary architectural and constructive materials.
