The eco-responsible table

The result of an eco-design approach, this new Delavelle collection combines art cabinetry in solid oak with Le Pavé®, a 100% recycled material manufactured in France by SAS Minimum to recover plastic waste.

This table is entirely made in France in our Saulnot (70) workshop, using PEFC-certified oak wood sourced from within a 15km radius of our workshop. The Le Pavé® tabletop is made from recycled plastic waste such as milk or shampoo bottles, or colored plastic caps, giving it the Floréal color effect. It’s a sustainable material, since it can be repaired and 100% recycled at the end of its life cycle.
Currently available only in solid oak for pre-order, this table can be customized in other solid wood species on request.

The MéliMélo Le Pavé® table is eco-designed in two sizes corresponding to one or half a Le Pavé® top, to avoid any waste of material. It is also available as a coffee table.

Exceptional natural finish

PEFC-certified wood

We select PEFC-certified wood from our neighboring forests within a 15 km radius of our workshop. This certification guarantees that the wood used comes from sustainably managed forests.

Our cabinetmaking and sourcing operations are audited annually by an independent organization to verify compliance with the certification standards:

  • License no.: PEFC/10-32-2633.
  • Chain of custody no.: QUAL/12-716.

A protected environment

Our cabinetmaking company is located in Saulnot in the Franche-Comté region of France, where we design and manufacture all Delavelle furniture from A to Z. Through our eco-design approach, we minimize the product’s impact on the environment in six stages:

  • Raw materials: our cabinetmakers work exclusively with local PEFC-certified wood.
  • Manufacturing: our craftsmen avoid making wood scraps, and if they do, we try to reuse them to make other objects. For example, the salad servers available in « Accessories ».
  • Transport: the team makes sure that orders are grouped so that only one delivery is made to a given region. Our furniture can also be collected from our workshop.
  • Use: 100% made in France and eco-designed with solid wood from Burgundy-Franche-Comté, our furniture offers you unrivalled longevity and manufacturing quality.
  • Finish: our Made in France furniture is refined with Rubio® natural vegetable oils (meets EN 71-3 toy standard for children’s safety).
  • End of furniture/recycling: the advantage of solid wood is its durability, since it can always be sanded back to its original appearance when damaged. Similarly, the Le Pavé® top can also be sanded down if scratched. Last but not least,  the top can easily be separated from the solid wood base, as both materials can be fully recycled at the end of their life.

Indoor air quality

The MéliMélo Le Pavé® oak table is made from solid wood, improving indoor air quality by letting the wood breathe.

In fact, our craftsmen only finish our furniture with Rubio® natural vegetable oils. This ecological oil meets the EN 71-3 toy standard for children’s safety.

Finally, traditional dowel and mortise joints are made with formaldehyde-free wood glue.
