Advantages MéliMélo Le Pavé® oak coffee table

Easy to maintain

100% French manufacturing

Strong materials, reparable and 100% recyclable

The new Delavelle collection is a fusion of artistic cabinetry with Le Pavé®, a material made entirely from 100% recycled plastics manufactured in France by SAS Minimum, aimed at valorizing plastic waste.

The name “MéliMélo” for this table is derived from the design of the legs, composed of two pieces of solid oak that intertwine. This coffee table is entirely crafted in France in our workshop in Saulnot (70). The Le Pavé® tabletop, made from upcycled plastic waste, is a durable material that is repairable and 100% recyclable at the end of its life cycle.

Sourced from within a 15 km radius of our workshop, the solid oak wood comes from sustainably managed forests and is PEFC eco-certified. Currently available in solid oak, this coffee table can be customized in other solid wood species upon request.

The MéliMélo Le Pavé® coffee table is eco-designed with dimensions of 88 x 68 cm, corresponding to half of a Le Pavé® tabletop to minimize material waste. It is also available as a dining table.

The solid oak of the MéliMélo coffee table’s base is meticulously sanded and manually oiled with Rubio Oil Plus 2C, providing protection and enhancing the wood’s natural beauty. The Le Pavé® top is finely sanded to achieve a smooth and matte finish, soft to the touch.

PEFC French Oak

The oak used for the base comes from locally managed sustainable forests. These forests, along with our sawmill and the Atelier Hugo Delavelle, are PEFC certified (Pan European Forest Certification), ensuring the traceability and sustainable harvesting of the wood. Our supplies undergo regular checks by an independent organization.

Environmental Safeguard

Ecodesign is a preventive approach to minimize our furniture’s environmental impact. For this coffee table, there are six key steps:

  • Raw Materials: Local PEFC-certified wood.
  • Manufacturing: Optimizing material usage and reusing wood scraps for small accessories, such as salad servers available in the “Accessories” section.
  • Transport: Grouping dedicated deliveries by region to reduce our vehicle travels. Furniture can also be picked up directly from our workshop.
  • Usage: 100% made in France using locally sourced solid wood to offer the best quality and durability to our customers.
  • Finish: The Méli-Mélo Le Pavé® coffee table base is treated with Rubio® natural vegetable oil, allowing the wood to breathe and meeting the toy safety standard EN 71-3 for children’s safety.
  • End of Life: Solid wood is durable and can be sanded to restore its original beauty when damaged. Similarly, the Le Pavé® top can be sanded to eliminate surface scratches. Finally, the Le Pavé® top and solid oak base can be separated for complete recycling at the end of their life.

Indoor Air Quality

All our furniture is made with the most natural materials possible to reduce indoor air pollution:

  • Wood finished with Rubio Oil Plus 2C (0% VOC).
  • Formaldehyde-free wood glue.
