Our story begins with a meticulous search for the perfect raw material : solid Franche-Comté wood. Our local, sustainably-managed forests are the cradle of this exceptional wood. They are carefully crafted in our workshop in France, where each piece is created by talented artisans steeped in traditional French know-how.

The utmost care has been taken in the manufacture of this cutlery. They are hand-machined and hand-finished.

PEFC local wood

This cutlery is made using off-cuts from the manufacture of our furniture. The wood used comes from forests close to our workshop, sometimes less than 2 km away. In 2012, we obtained the PEFC (Pan European Forest Certification) label. This guarantees that the wood we use comes from sustainably managed forests. Our supplies are regularly checked by an independent organization.

Ecodesign is a preventive approach that minimizes a product’s impact on the environment :

  • Reuse of wood scraps from furniture manufacturing.

  • Single-material: facilitates end-of-life recycling.
  • Indoor air quality

This cutlery is made from wood and nothing but wood. This natural solid wood is untreated, with no glue or other toxic additives (VOCs, formaldehydes, etc.).

Maintenance

The cutlery is made from natural, untreated wood. If you wish, you can protect it by applying edible oil (e.g. olive oil) before first use, and on a regular basis depending on use. Wood is not dishwasher-safe, so always clean by hand and wipe dry quickly.
