Advantages BODUM COFFEE - Sumatra

Milk chocolate sweetness

A classic wet-hulled coffee

Notes of intense milk chocolate and ripe pineapple with subtle vanilla aromas

About the Sumatra coffee

Coffee cultivation in Indonesia dates back to the late 1600s, with the country developing to be the fourth largest producer worldwide. While Java, Bali, Sulawesi and Timor are all centres for coffee production, we focused our attention on SUMATRA for our first coffee from this region.

It’s a classic wet-hulled coffee grown by PT. Ihtiyeri Keti Ara (IKA) farm and farmers in the areas around Atu Lintang in Aceh province. Its milk chocolate sweetness, earthy notes and fruity finish highlight just how good Sumatran coffee can be – but it wasn’t flavour and aroma alone that led to its selection.

The farms where the coffee is grown and harvested, along with Jagong Mill where it’s processed, all adhere to strict organic principles, making it the perfect match for Bodum.
