Custom-made Aix coffee table in walnut

Lightness and design : The custom-made walnut coffee table is customizable in height from 25 to 50 cm and in plate dimensions from 60 x 60 to 160 x 120 cm. This design coffee table is entirely handcrafted in solid wood.

Our cabinetmaking workshop is located in Burgundy-Franche-Comté, just like the wood used for our design furniture, which comes from the same region. Our artisans work exclusively with local wood certified by PEFC.

The tabletop of the coffee table is thinned around the periphery to reveal only a few millimeters of thickness. The design and quality of craftsmanship give it unparalleled robustness and durability.

The selected wood and the quality of finishing are impeccable. It is available in oak and walnut and can be custom-made, tailored, and made with other wood species upon request. The company has also been awarded the EPV (Living Heritage Company) label since 2017, confirming that our furniture comes from exceptional craftsmanship.

Exceptional natural finish

This custom-made Aix walnut coffee table is treated only with natural oil, displaying all the beauty of natural walnut. The wood remains free of harmful substances and retains all its excellent properties. It breathes, absorbs moisture, and gradually releases it into the ambient air, ensuring a healthy and pleasant environment. The final sanding and oil application are done entirely by hand, ensuring a flawless finish and a smooth touch. The oil used complies with the DIN 1054 standard for child safety.

PEFC Wood

The walnut used for the base of this custom Aix coffee table comes from local forests and is PEFC certified (Pan European Forest Certification). Our workshop is also PEFC certified. This is a guarantee that the wood used comes from sustainably managed forests. Our supplies are regularly checked by an independent organization.

Preserved environment

Eco-design is a preventive approach that minimizes the impact of this custom Aix walnut coffee table on the environment:

• Stackable: optimization of storage.
• Local wood: renewable natural resource.
• Repairable: natural wood can be sanded and restored.
• The finishing oil comes from vegetable materials (from reasoned cultivation and local origin).
• The wood waste from the manufacture of this coffee table is maximally valorized, and as a last resort, used as fuel for heating our workshop.

Like all our furniture, this custom Aix walnut coffee table is designed and manufactured with selected natural materials to ensure that it does not pollute the indoor air of your home with harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds) that are harmful to your health:

• 100% natural solid wood.

• Formaldehyde-free wood glue (a harmful agent widely used in the wood panel industry).
• Wood finish with Rubio Oil Plus 2C oils (0% VOC).

Maintenance

The maintenance of this custom Aix walnut coffee table is very simple and easy:

• Daily cleaning: with a damp sponge or cloth.
• Occasional maintenance: apply maintenance oil with a cloth.
• In case of scratches: sand and apply maintenance oil.
