Solid wood coffee table made in France, rectangular or square

The Aix coffee table in solid oak is eco-designed with French solid wood and available in standard square 80 x 80 or rectangular 120 x 80 formats, height 45 cm. For other custom dimensions, feel free to check “Custom Aix oak coffee table.”

As with all the design furniture manufactured at the Hugo Delavelle workshop, artisans work exclusively with local wood from Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, certified PEFC; this label guarantees that the wood comes from sustainably managed forests.

This design coffee table is assembled with lamellos (beech wood) and glued dowels (formaldehyde-free).

Characteristics

• Available in two formats: square 80×80 cm or rectangular 120 x 80 cm, height 45 cm.
• Solid oak tabletop, whose contour is machined to create the assembly with the base and reveal only a third of its thickness.
• Sturdy solid oak base, section 80 x 22 mm. Eco-certified PEFC wood from Franche-Comté.
• Wood protection: Rubio Oil Plus 2C (varnish on request).
• Delivered assembled, packaged, and protected on a pallet (dedicated installation delivery on request). Designer: Hugo Delavelle 2011. Made in France: 100% Hugo Delavelle workshop.

Exceptional natural finish

Delavelle coffee tables are treated only with natural oil, displaying the full beauty of natural wood. The wood remains free of harmful substances and retains all its excellent properties. It breathes, absorbs moisture, and gradually releases it into the ambient air, ensuring a healthy and pleasant environment. The final sanding and oil application are done entirely by hand, ensuring impeccable finishing quality and touch. The oil used complies with the EN 71-3 toy standard for children’s safety.

PEFC Wood

The wood comes from forests near our workshop, sometimes less than 2 km away. In 2012, we obtained the PEFC (Pan European Forest Certification) label. This ensures that the worked wood comes from sustainably managed forests. Our wood supplies are regularly controlled by an independent organization.

Preserved environment

Eco-design is a preventive approach that minimizes the product’s impact on the environment:

• Stackable: optimization of transport and reduction of carbon footprint.
• Local wood: renewable and recyclable resource. Repairable: natural wood can be sanded and restored.
• Mono-materials: facilitates recyclability at the end of life.

Indoor air quality

Our furniture is made with selected natural materials:

• Reduced indoor air pollution.
• No hazardous substances.
• Reduced emissions of VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
• Formaldehyde-free wood glue.
• Finish with natural vegetable oils (EN 71-3 standard for children’s safety).

Maintenance

• The oiled wood surfaces of coffee tables are very easy to maintain.
• You can clean them daily with a sponge or a damp cloth.
• For optimal maintenance, you can clean them with nourishing care oil.
• Unlike a varnished surface, you can easily repair scratches on the wood surface.
